Oil Painting on antique roof slate - 5.5 x 9". $35, ppd. -- Buy Now with PayPal --
I live in West Virginia's mountains and I'm pretty sure I saw fresh Snowshoe Hare tracks while cross- country skiing near my home last week. That was the inspiration for this painting.
Slate provides a great texture. All the dark gray color is the natural slate. On the back is a wood strip with eye screws and a hanging wire. Or you can display this on a small easel. If you have any questions, please email joycooper@nakiska.com
I haven't posted on this blog for several years - I've been A.W.O.L! I found Leslie Saeta's podcast and website recently. See.http://artistshelpingartistsblog.blogspot.com/. She and her guest hosts inspire! She presented a challenge to paint 30 paintings in 30 days in January. I missed that but I'm inspired to work toward 28 paintings in February. This is the first, painted on Feb 1. It's a good thing to keep the brushes wet!
